BESSTECH Places Second in Ultra Light Startups Pitch Session in NYC

BessTechMay 11, 2014

On April 9th BESSTECH participated in the Ultra Light Startups – Future Energy New York pitch session which took place in Microsoft’s offices in New York City. Eight amazing companies participated and pitched to a group of expert panelists comprised of John Freer (GE Global Research), Oliver Guinness (Clearpoint Ventures), Jiong Ma (Braemar Energy Ventures), David Miller (Clean Energy Venture Group), and Willem Rensink (Shell International).

BESSTECH placed second presenting its new concept for a thin-film hybrid battery/capacitor. This device, which combines nano-engineered materials developed by SUNY CNSE and RPI and exclusively licensed by BESSTECH, provides the best of both worlds: high energy and fast charge. Our thin-film battery is especially good for wearable devices, where it increases the operating time and greatly reduces the charging time.
